Background/education. You are an Indian, educated in major universities of the World with working experience in the Smithsonian. What made you decide to come and live in Auroville?I was sent here as a punishment by my professor at the Indian Institute of Science. He thought it would do me a lot of good to stay for awhile in an environment where people eat only brown rice and yogurt. And after a couple of weeks here I liked it so much that I went back and handed in my resignation and came to live here.
You are working in the Palmyra Project right now, what do you there?I coordinate the planning, evaluation, monitoring of the work that's going on.
How do you spend your free time?.... No comment.
What do you think about Auroville's politics, is it worth all the arguing and time?I think the basic problem is that we have too many groups, too many individuals on all these groups using their positions for their own interests and not for Auroville's interest. I think most meetings here are a complete waste of time. I don't think it's worth all the time and arguing about.
Do you enjoy living in Auroville? If you would have a choice to live somewhere else, where would you like to live instead? That's a very difficult question. I mean right now I really enjoy living here but it could change.
